Welcome to Narratron. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Narratron's interactive storytelling canvas, theater hosting tools, media generation services, and related applications (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not access or use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Narratron is a collaborative live canvas platform designed for interactive storytelling, performance, and atmospheric roleplay. Features include:

  • Interactive Storytelling Canvas: Real-time scenes, visual effects, dynamic transitions, and shared collaboration tools (such as live doodling and audience suggestions).
  • AI-Assisted Orchestration: Integration with generative AI models to provide live narrative dialogue, character voices, and thematic background illustrations.
  • Atmospheric Audio & Music: Support for uploaded playlists and catalogs alongside procedural, AI-assisted music continuation.
  • Live Streaming & Virtual Tabletop Integration: Dedicated OBS browser source overlays, pop-out panels, and integrations for virtual tabletops such as Foundry VTT.

2. Eligibility & User Accounts

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use Narratron.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for any activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access.
  • Accurate Information: You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information and keep it updated.

3. User Content & Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain ownership of all original text, character lore, uploaded imagery, audio tracks, custom adventure modules, and annotations ("User Content") that you submit to the Service.
  • License to Narratron: You grant Narratron a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, transmit, display, and process your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, rendering, and delivering the Service to you and your invited theater participants.
  • AI-Generated Outputs: Content produced by AI models on the platform (such as generated narrative text, synthesized voice lines, and generated imagery) is provided for your creative use in accordance with the licenses of the underlying model providers and applicable law.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Narratron to:

  • Generate, upload, or share content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, harassing, hateful, or promotes violence or self-harm.
  • Infringe upon any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other proprietary rights of any party.
  • Transmit malicious code, viruses, or automate access to the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable rate limits or disrupts platform operations.
  • Interfere with or circumvent security controls, authentication mechanisms, or credit metering features.

5. Virtual Credits, Purchases & Refunds

  • Generation Credits: Access to select AI capabilities (e.g. image generation, speech synthesis, and music continuation) may require generation credits.
  • Credit Allocation: Credits may be provided via recurring allotments, promotional gifts, or direct purchase.
  • Non-Transferable: Credits are non-transferable, possess no real-world cash value, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

6. Local Canvas Recording & Privacy Guarantees

  • Browser-Side Processing: When using Narratron's canvas clip export tools, video and audio capture occurs locally within your browser.
  • Microphone & Tab Audio: Microphone audio is an explicit, revocable setting utilized exclusively for local recording or broadcast. Narratron servers do not record or retain your local clip media unless you explicitly initiate an external destination transfer.

7. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Narratron does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely accurate. Generative AI outputs may contain hallucinations, unintended inaccuracies, or unexpected artifacts.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Narratron and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to access the Service.

9. Modifications & Termination

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms.
